London youngsters The Rank Deluxe describe their ramshackle punk as “a sonic picture of council estate youth”, which would go a long way in explaining the gritty imagery of their song-writing.
A-side Doll Queue is the lead track on this 7". Like a lost cousin to The Specials or The Clash, the song is an adrenaline charged mix of various styles; ska, punk, rock, reggae and indie all make appearances in some form or other, resulting in a fairly unique hybrid of sounds that accompanies their unabashed lyrics and raw production.
While this single may prove The Rank Deluxe sound awesome on record, it suggest they are the kind of band who would be even more amazing during their live sets.
