Forward Russia - Nine
[Dance To The Radio]

Well the wait is finally nearly over, when Forward, Russia release their amazing album Give Me Well the wait is almost over, when the soon-to-be massive Forward, Russia finally unleash their outstanding album Give Me A Wall, which is already looking set to be the debut of the year. In the meantime, the band have reissued their first single Nine (originally out as a split 7" with fellow Leeds outfit This Et Al) as the final teaser for their album.

Unlike previous single Twelve which was a manic explosion of indie-disco madness, this re-recorded version is the band's potential crowd-pleasing "anthem". A stern live favourite the guitars start off chugging and vocalist Tom Woodhead's vocals are larger than ever. Of course the band then launch into their disco frazzled art-rock halfway, making the whole thing dancey before diving straight back into the epic and melancholic chorus that makes this one of the best thing's Forward Russia have ever written.

Guaranteed to storm the charts and floor the competition in the process, with Nine the general public really are going to be forced to stand up and take notice of the urgent, entertaining and awesome band that is Forward Russia. Single of the month!
