Charming pop rock music with a sweet voice dropping sugary words on top, means Leeds based 3 piece The Lodger have success looming, providing us with our pop fix for May 2006.
'Let Her Go' feels summary and in high spirits, with it's light riffs and appealing combination of bashing drums and floating saxophone melodies. Second track 'We Come From The Same Place' begins with an into that would not sound out of place on an early Coldplay album, and it carries on to provide a song about lovers which is both adoring and atmospheric.
The songs are simple and subtle, but The Lodger inject feeling into them making the songs heartfelt and lovable.
