Vincent Vincent And The Villains - Live In London
[Insomniac's Ball]

My favourite act of the Insomniac's Ball evening was London's favourite 50's inspired rock band, Vincent Vincent and the Villains. With a rampant crowd jammed against the front barriers, sweating and twitching with anticipation, the hype and atmosphere was to strong to refute.

As they launched into their luminous set, the ever-faithful Villainette's were on hand to bellow along to the words, and dance like there was no tomorrow. With perhaps the most fanatical crowd of the evening, the front barriers were bending forwards from the force of the dancing Villainette's behind it.

Crowd pleasers such as 'On My Own' and '7 – Inch Record' were highly received, and new song 'I'm Alive' (Out now) had the crowd moving as Vincent belted out the words emotively. Throughout the set cries of 'Johnny Two Bands' could be heard, with the audience itching to hear it. At this point due to the rambunctious crowd extra security had to be called and they bordered the front of the stage. It felt both manic and special.

The villains came to the end of their set, and struck the first chord of Johnny two bands, and that was it! The Villainette's poured onto the stage for an epic stage invasion. As they pushed past the security guards and danced their hearts out to the song written about former band mate Charlie (who then went on to form The Rumblestrips), Vincent grinned from ear to ear.

It was obvious that this was a special moment for both the band, and their fans. Truly the highlight of the evening.
