This Gavin Clark led trio add a bit of bubbling indie/jazz to their make up and expand masterfully from the subtle base of their previous album, 'Small Circle'.
Clark's Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan vocal foundation makes you picture him sat in a smoky pub, regaling anyone who will lend their ear to the cause with this woe-riddled tale.
His dusty and effortless manner helps to maintain some realism, as the increasingly roving instrumental nature of the outfit that gives off a slightly dreamy feel.
'Halfway Across' mingles complex musical structures and simplistic life debating lyrics (with help from a delicious ecological analogy) to create a proud number.
