New York trio We Are Scientists may have hit the nail on the head with the title of their latest single, It's A Hit. Built upon a foundation that makes a pop track so great and infectious, this may well be the band's biggest achievement yet.
Taken from their excellent debut album With Love & Squalor, It's A Hit is the third single from this hotly tipped band and carries on from the ripples caused by their outstanding Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt and Great Escape singles.
The laidback Editors style It's A Hit, is more of a swaggering ballad then the art-rock disco-punk shown on Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt. Here the three piece fuse jangly indie guitars, with incredible pop melody and an epic chorus, for one of the best tracks of the year so far.
Armed with songs this strong and memorable, it's no wonder We Are Scientists were the success story of the recent NME Shockwaves Tour.
