Surely the most talked about band at the close of 2005, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah look set to become the major breakthrough artist of 2006 here in the UK, before they've even released an album. Is This Love? is the group's first (UK) single which precedes the self-titled debut album (due for release January 2006) and comes backed with another LP track, Heavy Metal.

Is This Love? like much of the eponymous album, is an infectius blend of Talking Heads vocals, jangly indie guitars and punching rhythms, delivered with powerful melody. Sure this is hardly groundbreaking stuff, but the track oozes so much pop class, it's untouchable and near perfect. Heavy Metal is the cockier, more feisty song on the single and proves to be the more driven of the pair.

The album is nothing short of brilliance and the band will go on to much, much larger things. Invest before it's too late!
