The Hives have re-recorded this version of A Little More For Little You, for this limited edition 7" release, which appeared at first on the Tyrannosaurus Hives album in 2004.
A Little More For Little You is one of The Hives most commercial efforts which is surprising to find this is such a limited release. Lacking the riffs and hooks of their obvious hits (Hate To Say I Told You So and Main Offender), the track is a jangly indie affair with jerky Libertines guitars, their trademark off the wall vocals and general feel-good pop melodies.
It is the B-sides Abra Cadaver and No Pun Intended which come out on top and should command the most attention. Recorded live they burst with more rock balls than any Hives studio track could ever create and if anything, suggest The Hives should be releasing a live album before their steam runs out.
