The Final single to be released from The Go! Team's amazing debut album is possibly also their strongest. With a Mercury Music Prize nomination behind them (you'll probably be aware they were pipped by Anthony & The Johnsons), impressive album sales and an upcoming tour that includes both European and American dates, things couldn't look healthier for the band's future.
Bottle Rocket is a song inspired by the old Street Sounds Electro series, with electro beats and massive hip hop breaks, scratching and vocalist Ninja is a spit for Roxanne Shante (the young 80's MC who brought us Bite This). Throw in some trumpets, fairground music, even a harmonica solo and you've got one of the most exciting party tunes of the year, from the most entertaining group of 2005.
A fusion of so many different music styles shouldn't sound this good. Where the group go from here, we can only dream.
