Andy Stott returns after his astonishing debut with an EP that even surpasses the exuberant qualities of his Replace 12". Ceramics is the first in a new series of six 12" EP's courtesy of Modern Love.
Stott has already begin carving a name for himself as one of the key names to watch for underground UK electro and it hasn't exactly hindered his credibility being friends with Claro Intelecto. The outstanding Ceramics and equally b-side Credit are both fresh hybrids that fuse electronica, acid, techno and deep Detroit electro. Both tracks are a steaming brew of pulsing warm bass, click house beats and dubby dance-floor grooves.
Ceramics will help ensure two things; that Andy Stott is going to turn a few heads over the next few months, and Modern Love is rapidly becoming a label of consistent high standard and quality electronic releases. An essential release, this may well be dance 12" of the month - invest quickly before the eBay pirates get there first.
