Three albums into their career and The Coral have neither dropped in standard nor change their direction. After selling thousands of records, selling out tours and even notching up a Top 5 chart entry, it appears the Wirral youngsters have no incentive to change a sure-fire hit formula.

In terms of composition and musicianship, the quality of music on offer is second to none. But that was never a question for The Coral. In the realms of originality or trying to broaden your over familiar sound, then Something Inside Of Me falls drastically and suddenly the promise shown by their remarkable debut album, fades away.

Something Inside Of Me is a januty singalong, with catchy hooks, even catchier melody and a 60's production feel. They've been there before countless times and it's no doubt they won't rehash the formula again. A pleasant single, but too derivative of their past singles.
