Criminally limited edition release from the Cactus Island label, this 3" CD is the seventh volume in their collectable Residents Association series. Stendec follow their impressive 'The Study Of (And)' debut album, with this four track 'Opaque' EP.

Stendec are Paul Merritt and Ben Edwards - the latter of which, has recently released his 9th solo album as Benge. The EP begins fairly chilled, with few beats and the focus generally lying upon sweeping synths and Stendec's impressive melodic moments. However, it is during the second half where the pair introduce more direct and prominent bass, synths and percussive rhythms that touch on those majestic early 7" singles.

Stendec manage to produce subtle electronica that speaks volumes.Although these four tracks possess enough individuality and are different in their own right, the EP is best heard in one sitting with the tracks seguing into one another effortlessly. This is extremely high calibre electronica and as with all Cactus Island releases, quality is assured. A future collector's piece.
