Words can't describe the amount of personality & coolness this group possess, oozing so much charisma you could choke on it, Megarider are simply one of the greatest pop groups we have right now, fact. This is the sound of a band just having simple, inhibited fun. The way it should be.
Undeterred by current trends & insisting on doing their own thing, 'Voiture' is pure disco-sleaze without all the irony or bad Yorkshire accents. So that's the 'electroclash' tag dropped then. The robotic, mantra-like vocals compliment the shuffly, cut-up synths effortlessly to create a hypnotic, floor-filler. Where have you been for so long?
On the reverse, 'Alright' is the marginally better tune, showing off Heather's strong, unique blend of vocals with an infectious melody. Throw in deep bass-lines, lush synths & guitar and what more could you possibly want. Kitsch, cute and catchy in the space of three minutes.
For a debut, they certainly haven't held back in the impact department, two killer tracks that will have you dancing in no time. In a period of pointless, rehashed garage bands, Megarider are a breath of fresh air, combining 80's style & pop with a twist of their own, modern magic they come across like nothing before.
Be ahead of the game, Megarider will be one to keep an eye on for the future so invest now. An enchanting release that blossoms and delights with each listen, thank you.
