After the huge success and widespread critical acclaim of Claro Intelecto's last warehouse themed 12", the uber-gifted producer returns once more for a storming slab of wax destined to cause even bigger ripples on the dancefloor.
Volume 2 is another heavyweight single crafted in Mark Stewart's unimitable style that is sure to cause as much devastation both in the darkened clubs as it is the bedroom.
Even when compared to the sheer intensity of the Warehouse Session Volume 1, Trial & Error on the A-side is possibly the darkest thing to come from Stewart's corrupted mind. A stomping 4/4 beat shatters and devastates the speaker cones, over a minimal house groove and flourishes of sparse effects.
The second track Signals is the beefier and more direct of the two, still sticking to a minimal appoach the track slings together elements of Detroit techno and deep contemporary electro. A subtle level of strings and distorted, shuffly drums lay underneath a thick layer of hi hats, rim shots and storming beats all sequenced to rib-crushing effect.
The trick to Claro Intelecto's genius in this series, is his minimal approach. Introducing slight change, the focus is directed heavily on the slow build of repetitive rhythms and intense, claustrophobic atmosphere.
The Warehouse Sessions Volume 2 prove yet again, exactly why Mark Stewart is consistently described as one of the most talented techno producers around.
