Believe the hype. Test Icicles are everything and beyond the huge buzz surrounding them and this single will surely see the band continue to do no wrong. This chaotic three piece released their adrenaline pumped first single earlier this year to much acclaim, brandishing a lethal hybrid of huge metal riffs, punk attitude and a fun party vibe to everything they touch.
The trio's background is spread through various bands, side projects and lies impressively in hardcore, metal, hardcore metal and hip-hop, yet they incorporate anything and everything into their sound. Circle, Square, Triangle is one of the tracks from Test Icicle's blistering demo CD, which bares all the ramshackle and grittyness of a group first starting out. With it's huge kick drum beats and screeching chainsaw guitars, this post-punk single sees the shared shouty vocals of early Beastie Boys.
Not since the release of Licensed To Ill has a trio of youngsters sounded so fresh, vital and downright entertaining. Ensure you witness the band's live experience to fully realise the band's unique sound. Signed to Domino, it shouldn't be long before Test Icicles are a household name.
