Xzibit To Star In X-Files Film

West Coast rapper Xzibit is to star in the new X-Files sequel, due for release in July next year.
He will be appearing alongside 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' star Amanda Peet, playing the role of an FBI agent. The TV show's original stars, Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) will also be on the cast, as well as Scottish funny man, Billy Connolly.
Xzibit was originally due to appear as a soldier in Pinkville, Oliver Stone's latest movie. Filming was postponed though because of the writer's strike, so the rapper has since taken on the X-Files role.
Production of the as yet unnamed X-Files film is due to begin today in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
