Will Young 'Questions His Life'

Will Young has revealed that he began questioning his life after turning 30.

The Pop Idol star, who celebrated his 30th birthday earlier this year, has admitted that he began "ticking boxes" off of his achievements, and even wondered about the idea of not having children due to being gay.

"You look back and go, 'What am I doing with my life?', that kind of thing. 'Do I like myself? Do I like my friends?'" he said to The Times. "I was ticking boxes, thinking, 'Oh yes! I'm happy with this. I still look OK. I kind of like my friends, I kind of like myself, I think I have done OK'.

"But since then, there have been repercussions. Maybe I am having more of a problem with being 30 than I realise!"

Young then went on to speak about his thoughts on being single, and what it meant for his future: "I had a moment of thinking, 'Should I be in a relationship? 'I was like, 'It's OK, because you are gay, so you don't mind so much about kids'. I thought, 'It's fine!' And then I had a bit of a moment. Maybe it is not fine."

"There are three people I have been in love with. I take it very seriously. I think I quite enjoy the melancholy of heartbreak."
