Vanessa Hudgens 'Wants To Play Janis Joplin'

Vanessa Hudgens would love to portray the late Janis Joplin, if the opportunity ever arose.
The 'Bandslam' actress dressed as Joplin in a scene for her next movie. She told MTV: "In 'Beastly', there's a Halloween party, and it's kind of a high school Halloween party."
"All the girls are dressed up as s****, and my character comes in as Janis Joplin." The High School Musical star explained.
"I know I don't look much like her, but you can always hope, right?"
But unfortunately for 20-year-old Hudgens, the part has already been handed to Zoey Deschanel in a forthcoming biopic about the singer.
In other news this week, Vanessa revealed she had to learn guitar for a movie role, and also revealed her hobby is amateur photography.
