Usher To Open NFL Season With Concert

Usher will open the NFL season tomorrow (Thursday, September 4) by performing alongside Keith Urban before the Redskins Vs Giants game.

The afternnoon concert will be held at Columbus Cirlcle in New York and will stream on NFL.com.

Rumor has it that Bruce Springsteen will perform at next years Super Bowl, but Usher is making no secret of the fact that he plans to sing during the Super Bowl halftime.

"I don't think it's too early to consider it," he told the Associated Press. "Certainly being associated with the organization makes that a lot more possible. There have been conversations for a lot of years about me being part of a performance at a Super Bowl."

"I'm hoping that this leads, definitely, to that," he said, speaking of Thursday's performance. "This whole process is basically you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours."

The three songs Usher is expected to perform on Thursday (September 4th) are 'Here I Stand', 'Changing Places' and 'What's Your Name', accompanied by Will.i.am.
