UNKLE Album Features Josh Homme And Massive Attack

UNKLE have named a list of contributors to their third album War Stories, set to be released on July 9th.

Most notably, Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age makes an appearance, as does 3D of Massive Attack fame.

Other names include Cult singer Ian Astbury, Lee Gorton (formerly of Alfie), The Duke Spirit, Autolux, Alice Temple, Gavin Clark (Clayhill) and long time cohort Richard File.

UNKLE founder James Lavelle also makes his singing debut on the record, loaning his vocals to Hold My Hand, as well as dueting with Richard File on Morning Rage.

According to the band's press, War Stories is a change in direction and "marries UNKLE's trademark sound and integrates it with traditional rock influences to stunning effect."
