U2 Writing Songs For Spiderman The Musical

U2 are working on a musical version of Spiderman, in addition to their new studio album 'No Line On The Horizon' - according to The Edge.
The musical, which should hopefully hit Broadway before the end of 2009, is already well under way, as the guitarist tells Q Magzine: "We've written a lot of the songs at this point. It's in a pretty good state, and I hope it'll open this year. We're not sure where in the world, but most likely it will be in New York."
On how the music will sound within the project, The Edge says it will be performed by a rock 'n' roll band and not an orchestra. The production is a collaboration with scriptwriter Glenn Berger and Julie Taymour.
