Almost 7 million U2 fans logged on to watch the band performing live via the internet.
Yesterday (October 26), the rockers streamed their show from California's Pasadena Rose Bowl on video sharing website YouTube.
At the beginning of the sold-out event, singer Bono told viewers: "Thank you Los Angeles. Thanks to everyone watching on YouTube all over the world - seven continents!"
For those who missed out on the show, YouTube plan to re-air the concert at a future date.
