Travis Announce New Album Details

Popular Scots indie band Travis are set to make their comeback this Spring and we can reveal full details of their return.
Fran Healy and Co. have finished work on their fifth album, The Boy With No Name, which will be getting a April 23rd release via Independiente (also home to Embrace). A new single called Closer will also precede the LP.
The album takes its title because Healy and his wife Nora couldn't settle on a name for their son Clay for some weeks, and this was how the baby was referred to (The Boy With No Name).
Travis themselves recorded most of the material on the record, however long term collaborator and uberproducer Nigel Godrich applied additional production on several of the tracks.
Dougie Payne says of the band's decision to use Godrich: ""We trust Nigel and fear him. If Nigel doesn't think something is any good he'll say".
Speaking about finished LP, Travis frontman Fran Healy says: "This album has all the facets of us, and some new ones".
Healy adds: "It's rocky and then it's pop and sweet too. After a time of feeling stuck we feel we can do anything. We've come through the dark places and it feels like we've found our muse once more".
