Too Pure And Beggars Banquet Labels Both Closed Down

The Beggars Group have made a shock announcement today - they are to close two of its imprints - the influential Too Pure and Beggars Banquet.
The Beggars Group until today, consisted of Matador, Rough Trade, XL Recordings, Too Pure, Beggars Banquet and 4AD.
The new shake-up will however, result in 4AD being expanded with the acts currently signed with Too Pure and Beggars Banquet - such as Stereolab, The National and Scout Niblett - being moved to 4AD.
Beggars Banquet formed in 1977 and Too Pure followed some years later on 1990.
