Tom Jones Gets Inspired By Amy Winehouse On His New Album

Tom Jones says his new album '24 Hours' was inspired by Amy Winehouse.

Speaking to the Associated Press, the Welsh star says of the LP (due in November): "We've been thinking about this for a while, doing a retro sound but new. And Amy Winehouse, she cracked it."

"I've had a lot of success worldwide, which is a pain because I live here and I do most of my shows in America. Hopefully this will straighten that out."

Jones also revealed he hasn't tamed in his age: "The fire is still in me. Not to be an oldie, but a goodie. I want to be a contender."

Besides Amy Winehouse, it seems Tom Jones is also a fan of fellow Welsh singer Duffy and he would love to duet with the star.
