T.I. Reality TV Show Commissioned

T.I. has paired-up with MTV to film his own reality TV show, to be broadcast in early 2009.

Variety claims that MTV will follow the rapper during his 1,000 hours of community service, in the lead-up to his prison sentence next year (he was caught possessing unregistered machine guns and silencers).

Eight shows have already been commissioned according to reports, which will be excutive producer by T.I. himself with Grand Hustle's Jason Geter, and produced by Ish Entertainment.

Speaking on behalf of Ish, Michael Hirschorn tells Variety, "We began the conversations in the middle of deliberations over what would happen to him."

"The original idea for the show had him staging a series of interventions in each episode with people in danger." Hirschorn continued. "But when we visited him under house arrest, it felt much bigger and more powerful than we anticipated."

Parts of the show will document the final recording of the Atlanta MC's new album 'Paper Trail', which is set for an August release.
