T.I. Denies Snitching To The Police

T.I. has denied he is a snitch, after rumors suggested he had blabbed to the police in order to reduce his jail sentence.

Rumors have been fuelled by several events such as the rapper starring in a commercial for Georgia Crime Stoppers and 50 Cent making suggestions on 2008 song 'You So Tough'.

Talking to Vibe magazine, T.I. says the claims are nonsense and said he would not be able to get away with being a snitch due to his fame.

"Ain't no such thing as a secret snitch," T.I. said. "If there was there'd be no need for the witness protection program. Pull up my agreement. It's public record. Ain't no way you could hide it, especially being a public figure."

"And as much as people saying that it is happening, don't you think somebody would have did the research to say, 'Okay look, we got proof, here it is?' People just know that it could have been a lot worse and they wanted it to be a lot worse, but lies will never overrule the truth."

T.I. is about to start his year-long jail sentence this month, after serving 1000 hours of community service for being arrested in 2007 for two felonies - possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
