The Zutons Dropped By Their Record Label?

The Zutons have apparently been dropped by the record label, due to disappointing sales of their third album 'You Can Do Anything' (released in June 2008).

The Liverpool quintet have reportedly been given the axe by Deltasonic (part-owned by Sony BMG), the very label who have released all of the band's music to date.

It's thought the label had high expectations for 'You Can Do Anything', due to the overwhelming success of 'Valerie' - a hit single Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson covered.

A source tells the Daily Star: "Expectations were unrealistically high when The Zutons came back from Los Angeles with their third album."

"Valerie was being pumped out of every stereo around the world and they were totally being overshadowed by a song from their previous release."
