The Who will donate all of their earnings from a forthcoming show to local charities.
The band will perform at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan on October 21st, with proceeds being given to Detroit charities Gleaners Community Food Bank and Focus: HOPE. Tickets are already on sale now, priced at $39.50.
Speaking on the band's website, The Who explain their decision for the charity gesture:
"The first gig we ever played in the U.S. was in Detroit and we have always had an affinity with this part of the country."
