The Shins Marty Crandall & Elyse Sewell Avoid Charges

The court case between Marty Crandall (of The Shins) and his ex-model girlfriend Elyse Sewell has been dismissed due to insufficient evidence.
Charges against the pair were reportedly dropped after their arrest on Friday (January 4th) for having a domestic fight in a hotel room. After the incident, Sewell, who is a former star of America's Next Top Model, posted photos of her bruised arms on her personal blog.
However, speaking to Oregon Live, Paul Durenberger (supervisor for the domestic violence unit at Sacramento Country district attorney's office): "There was no way the D.A. could prove a charge against either one of them."
Sewell has since added, "I will never speak of this again, nor malign Marty in this space. And tomorrow this'll be fishwrap." Crandall has yet to speak publicly of the matter.
