The Rascals Confirm They've Split Up

The Rascals have split, and singer Miles Kane will now pursue a solo career instead.
The Liverpool band released just one album (2008's 'Rascalize'), before calling it a day. Kane also released an album last year as one half of The Last Shadow Puppets with Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys.
A spokesperson told NME: "We can confirm that The Rascals have parted ways. Miles Kane is currently writing new material and has been in the studio recording some tracks by himself."
"Greg Mighall and Joe Edwards [the other two members of The Rascals] are working on a film project with 'Awaydays' star Liam Boyle."
In January of this year, Kane revealed The Last Shadow Puppets plan to record a second album.
