The Killers To Record Covers Album

The Killers plan to record an album of cover versions this year, once they've finished promoting current LP 'Day & Age'.

The Las Vegas rockers revealed the news to Billboard, where they also told of a DVD release that will arrive first.

"We're working on some ideas for what will be our first DVD." Drummer Ronnie Vannucci says. "We've been kind of hounded about it for a while, and haven't thought we were due for it yet."

"I think it's time. I think we're approaching the moment of DVD mass hysteria."

As for the covers album, Ronnie explained that The Killers had already recorded several versions including 'One Night In Bangkok' by Cyndi Lauper and 'Four Winds' by Bright Eyes.

"I think it's still a while off but things move kind of fast with us and get cooking, so it could just be when we have a collection of songs for the press, we'll put it out there." Vanucci says.
