Faris Badwan, who is the vocalist with hotly tipped rockers The Horrors, was assaulted last night during a live performance.
Badwan and the band were playing live on Halloween (October 31st) at the Stereo venue in New York.
During their set, a member of the audience jumped onstage, dragging the singer to the ground where a "scuffle" then broke out, before security intervened.
Speaking to NME.COM after the incident, Badwan said: "You should have seen HIS face afterwards."
He then described what happened at the time: "This guy kept trying to grab the microphone, and after I told him to stop, he tried to start a fight with me." He then added: "I would never hit someone unless they hit me first."
The Horrors also released their latest single Count In Fives this week - why not watch the video and see what all the fuss is about?
