The Game Pleads Not Guilty

The Game has pleaded not guilty to impersonating a police officer, when he attended court earlier this week (January 30th).

The Compton rapper, who recently released his latest album Doctor's Advocate, was arrested last November in New York, after a taxi driver claimed the hip hop star forced him to drive through red lights after allegedly saying he was an undercover cop.

However, The Game's attorney Jeffrey Lichtman has dismissed the claims and insists his client is innocent. Lichtman is quoted as saying: "The police are harassing him. They don't even have a witness - no supporting deposition."

"It will be a slam-dunk acquittal or dismissal, it's up to the D.A." he added. "They offered us time served today and I didn't even lift my head to respond. It's an embarrassment for them."

Lichtman also went on to say how The Game is being harassed by the police: "The cops follow him from the moment he lands to the moment he leaves. A limo driver freaked out, that's it. They are harassing him, but there will be some harassment going the other way at the trial."

The Game has repeatedly denied the claims (here and again here).
