The Beastie Boys Are Working On New Album

The Beastie Boys are already working on new material as the follow-up to last year's instrumental album, The Mix Up.

The Brooklyn hip-hoppers have apparently been recording in their own Oscilloscope Studios in lower Manhattan.

Adam Yauch (MCA) of the band told Rolling Stone magazine about the sessions so far: "It's in the early stages of development, but it sounds cool to me."

"We make music and eat lunch. Sometimes we fantasize about how cool it would be if we had a chef that cooked lunch every day." Yauch added.

As we mentioned earlier this month, Adam Yauch has also launched a film distribution company in New York named Oscilloscope Pictures.
