Taylor Swift 'Uses Her Status To Do Good'

Taylor Swift is glad that her celebrity status gives her the opportunity to raise awareness for charities and important issues.
The 19-year-old singer joins other celebs such as Hayden Panettiere, who feel it is important to use their influence for good causes.
"I'm put in a position to help people, and every day I'm presented with people and places that need help," says the country star.
But Taylor does a lot more than just raise awareness for certain issues: "Most of the money I make is donated to charity," she added.
One thing being a celebrity has not affected in Taylor's life is the way in which her parents treat her - they'll keep their daughter grounded no matter how "brutal" they have to be!
"My parents are the only people who completely do NOT care about telling me what they think," Taylor reveals. "They don't care that I'm famous - they tell me how it is! They're brutal with me no matter what."
