Soulja Boy Doesn't Expect To Top Crank That Sales

Soulja Boy feels he'll never top the sales of hit single 'Crank That'.
The 2007 song, from first album 'souljaboytellem.com', was a global success for the 18-year-old rapper and went on to become the biggest digital download of all time.
But as Soulja Boy prepares for the release of his second album 'iSouljaBoyTellem' (out on December 16), he tells MTV News that he isn't expecting the same level of sales.
"It's one of the biggest songs in the world, period - not just from Soulja Boy. So I really just took the approach of not trying to top that record and just trying to make some good music."
"I think after they listen to this album, they'll be like, 'Oh, this is an artist who's in the music industry now,'. You know, this is my second album, it's really time for me to prove myself. I'm trying to build a brand to have a career."
Soulja Boy also admitted he doesn't care what the music media has to say about the album: "I don't listen to the critics. I put it out for the fans. I already know what the critics will say."
