Soulja Boy Breaks Digital Download Record

Interscope Records has announced that 17-year-old rapper, Soulja Boy has just passed the 3 million sales mark for digital downloads of his song "Crank That".
The single held the number one spot on Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 chart for seven weeks, and has had the highest number of download sales since Billboard began tracking them in 2003. The previous record holders were Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" and Daniel Powter with "Bad Day."
Speaking about his record breaking achievement, Soulja Boy said: "I can't thank my fans enough. Without them all of this wouldn't have been possible. The support they give me is beyond incredible. I have so many Soulja Boy Tell'em projects ready and I will continue to give them what they need in 2008. Yuuuuaaaa!"
