Snow Patrol are to release a 'best of' compilation this winter, titled 'Up To Now'.

The 30-track collection comprises of material from the band's 15 year history. Besides fan favourites, the double-disc set also boasts covers, rare songs and 3 brand new recordings.

Fans have the option of a 2 CD set, a triple disc package (featuring the 2 CDs plus a DVD), or a limited edition box set - holding 2 CDs, 2 DVDs, a booklet and a print.

Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody said: "It's a portrait of us as a band, warts and all."

"We've climbed a hill and now we're looking back and taking in the view for a bit. It's nice to show people that we didn't just arrive overnight."
