Snoop Dogg Is Banned From Australia

Snoop Dogg is banned from entering Australia according to officials, after a spate of incidents has led to him failing a character test.

The rapper was supposed to enter the country this Sunday April 29th to co-host the MTV Australian Video Music Awards, but has now had his visa cancelled.

Apparently it's his past record of gun and drug related charges in his native country that have been frowned upon by Australian officials.

Talking to Sydney's Macquarie Radio, Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews told the station: "He (Snoop Dogg) doesn't seem the sort of bloke we want in this country".

"This man has been a member of a Los Angeles gang, and is still associated with it apparently, that's been involved in murder, robberies and drug dealing in the LA area." Andrews continued.

Snoop Dogg however, does have 28 days to protest the decision, which will still means he will miss the MTV Awards.

The rapper had similar problems entering the UK for a joint headline tour with P Diddy, after he was declined a work visa and the tour was cancelled.
