Snoop Dogg Charged With Gun And Drug Possession

Snoop Dogg was arrested on suspicion of illegal drug and gun possession last Thursday at Bob Hope Airport in Burban, California.

Officers stopped the rapper at a loading zone for a vehicle code violation around 3:30 pm. While searching his car they found an unknown quantity of marijuana and a gun.

The 34-year-old was taken in and charged with possession. After posting $35,000 bail, he was released later that day.

Speaking about the incident, Snoop's attorney, Donald Etra, said: "There was no basis for this arrest. We believe that once this is cleared up, all charges will be dismissed."

Last month, Snoop was caught with a 21-inch collapsible baton in his luggage as he boarded a flight at John Wayne International Airport in Orange County, California.

The rapper claimed innocence, saying the baton was nothing but a movie prop. It's still unknown whether he will face charges for it.
