The Smashing Pumpkins have been inducted into the prestigious Hollywood Rock Walk.
As frontman Billy Corgan put his hands into cement on Sunset Boulevard, he joked with the audience saying, "I'm so used to bad vibes, people hating our band and throwing things at us that it's strange to be honoured."
"I had to think about it, I had to really lay in bed and think 'is this a good thing or a silly thing?' and I'm really honoured, really touched." Corgan added.
"Music is a weird thing, I've said many times that I didn't really want to be in this band because I thought I would be in Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath or something like that," continued Corgan, "so it's a strange thing to be in this band because it represents a lot of what I feel.
"Again, we have the greatest fans in the world, they've followed us through the ups and downs, the hell and back up so we're happy to be playing again for you."
Earlier this week, The Smashing Pumpkins denied they would be splitting and not releasing any more music.
Drummer Jimmy Chamberlain added his bit, by saying "I'm a bit speechless, it's a real honour."
