Simon Cowell 'Wanted Cheryl To Vote Lucie Out'

Simon Cowell reportedly asked Cheryl Cole to vote against X Factor singer Lucie Jones at the weekend, so that twins Jedward would remain in the contest.
According to the Mirror, pop mogul Cowell hoped Chezza would do his dirty work by voting Jones off the ITV1 show, so that he wouldn't lose face by sending her home.
"It seems Simon may have tried to get Cheryl to vote for the twins so he could save Lucie and then it could have gone to deadlock without him, or the show, losing any credibility." An insider said.
"But Cheryl knows her own mind and didn't want to take the fall for him. She thought Lucie deserved to stay."
Lucie became the latest contestant to leave The X Factor on Sunday's show, when it went to a public vote.
