Scouting For Girls Pull UK Shows

Scouting For Girls have cancelled four shows as part of their current UK tour, after singer Roy Stride was diagnosed with laryngitis.

A Birmingham gig on Sunday March 30th had already been pulled and now shows in Reading tonight (April 1st), as well as a three night residency at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London have also been axed.

Speaking in a statement on MySpace, Stride says: "I'm really sorry to have to announce further cancellations on the tour. I woke up today and I still cannot physically speak. My mouth moves but nothing comes out. It is the weirdest scariest feeling in the world, and has never happened to me before."

"I went to see a proper Harley Street specialist, and Im now on 18 tablets a day!!! It will be ok for Bristol next Sunday. Thanks again for all you support. I'll keep you updated regarding my stupid vocal chords."

New dates are expected to be announced any day now to replace the postponed gigs.
