Scissor Sisters Lose Their Drummer

Scissor Sisters have said goodbye to their drummer Paddy Boom, who left the group last week.

Boom left the band on Thursday October 16th, although there are no hard feelings between members of the flamboyant pop act.

"We would like our fans and friends to know that we have amicably parted ways with the original Scissor drummer Paddy Boom." Says a statement on the Scissor Sisters website.

"He will no longer be on stage with us but he will always be our sister."

Boom's replacement has been named as Randy 'Real' Schrager, although this will only be temporary.

As reported at the weekend, the new Scissor Sisters album is influenced by reggae. It will be released in 2009.
