Scarlett Johansson is to release a new album in collaboration with Pete Yorn this September.
'Break Up' is the second musical project for the 'Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind' actress, yet the tracks found on the record were actually recorded before her 2008 debut Anywhere I Lay My Head.
Yorn approached the film star in 2006, and together they recorded a collection of duets with producer Sunny Levine, that will be released on September 8 via ATCO / Rhino.
Apparently Pete took his inspiration for the collaboration from the pairing of Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot and their recordings from the 60s.
According to USA Today, Johansson laid down her vocals in just two afternoon studio sessions. The site also reveals the LP consists of 8 original Yorn songs, plus Big Star founder Chris Bell's 'I Am the Cosmos'.
The first song - the record's opening track 'Relator' - can be heard online through the official album page.
