The Saturdays have revealed their new single 'Forever Is Over' was originally written for previous American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.
The song, which is the first taster for their second album 'Wordshaker', was penned by former Busted star James Bourne and was intended to be recorded by the 'My Life Would Suck Without You' hitmaker.
Sats singer Mollie King explains how the girls came to record it instead. "We heard the song playing while at our record company and went into the office where James was talking to the head of the label."
"We said: 'We have to have that song.' Then we found out that Kelly Clarkson was fighting for it but he gave it to us. James is lovely." King added to the Daily Star.
