Rolling Stones Upset Horse Lovers

Rolling Stones have upset animal rights activists as an upcoming Summer concert will lead to over 300 horses being sedated.

The veterans will be performing to 100,000 fans in Belgrade in July and organisers fear that horses in stables nearby to the venue will become distressed due to the loud noise the show will cause.

A horse handler from the Belgrade Hippodrome said: "Horses differ, just like people, some are nervous and more skittish. If they start to panic they'll get sedatives."

However, animal rights group Orca say that sedatives are not the answer and that the horses should not be moved just because of a concert.

Head of the organisation Elvir Burazerovic says the Rolling Stones should move their concert: "Surely our big city has enough open spaces where even 150,000 people can fit in. We think the Hippodrome should be left to horses." He added.
