Rick Ross 'Denied Work Permit'

Rick Ross was forced to cancel a show at the weekend in Bermuda, because government officials would not grant him a work permit.

Ross was booked to perform at the Cup Match Extravaganza, at Snorkel Park on Saturday night (August 1st), but all did not go to plan when Immigration Minister David Burch prevented the rapper from entertaining fans.

According Bermuda's Royal Gazette, Ross was not given a work permit because he does not "possess good character and conduct."

Kendricks Zuill - promoter of the axed gig - believes officials have Ross confused with "Freeway" Ricky Ross - a former drug baron.

"I've been trying to convince them that he is a man of good conduct," Kendricks says. "I was providing them with information, but all they told me was that the Minister was not satisfied. It's something personal."

More than 500 fans have been offered a refund for tickets purchased prior to the concert.
