Public Enemy have raised $50,000 in donations from fans, to help fund the recording of their new album.
The influential hip-hop group signed a deal with SellaBand to self-finance their new record.
Fans were asked to donate $25, and for their contribution they'll get CDs, and even a share of profits raised by album sales.
Public Enemy are aiming for $250,000 in total, but are already well on their way with the $50,000 being raised since September.
